Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy says the latest Newspoll was probably a “little disappointing” for the Albanese government.

According to the latest Newspoll, the Coalition and Labor are polling equal at 50 per cent on a two-party preferred basis.

“To be fair, the poll would have been probably a little disappointing,” Mr Conroy told Sky News host James Macpherson.

“It was a tough couple of weeks.”
